For our purposes all examples will be given as:
1 point = £100. This requires a betting bank of £10,000 (£100 = 1%).
Therefore a starting point value of £20 would require a betting bank of £2,000 behind it.
If you think that this seems high in order to place bets of that value then consider the facts so far.
1- There is no pressure on individual results, only long-term profits.
2- There will be inevitable runs of losers as well as winners, and our bank must be sufficient to cope with these without prejudicing further investments in relation to our goal of long term profits.
3- We do not wish to become emotionally attached to the success of individual selections. Our interest is in profits, not in cheering home desperately needed winners at any given time.
